Life Story about our TRIPLETS.

I'm going to make this blog an informative account of the adventure of our lives.

It all began about 4 years ago when Allison and I (Mary) met and started dating. To make a long story short, we fell in love, bought a great house together and have 3 dogs......Ivan, Striker and LuLu. Our lives were great, but we knew that there was that one thing we always wanted, and that was to be moms.

Back in January of 2009 we decided as our new years resolution to set some goals. Our main goal was to find a doctor that we felt comfortable with, find a donor and eventually get pregnant by June of 2009.

We started just as planned by finding a great fertility clinic in Paoli and made our first visit. We had already decided that Ali was going to carry, but we were worried that she may have some trouble getting pregnant, so we figured that the sooner we start trying the better. She went through numerous tests and everything looked good. Next big step was to pick a donor.

Now trust me.........picking a donor was NO simple job. It was probably one of the hardest things we ever had to do. It's basically like building a guy from scratch. You decide everything from hair color to eye color to skin color, etc., etc. We were so worried that we might be making a big mistake, but went with our hearts and found the perfect donor! Here he is as a little kid. SO STINKING CUTE!

After the stress of making the final decision about who to use, we had to face the reality of the price of this whole process. Let me make it clear to all the heterosexual people reading this........YOU HAVE IT SO GOOD! To get sperm from someone you love and trust for free and anytime should not be taken for granted. That is why we nicknamed this baby the million dollar baby.

So, the decision was made........ Now, finding an insemination date was next!
